General FAQs

1. What is SEO and why is that important?
   SEO is the abbreviation for Search Engine Optimization. The whole content of CityShoppingPoint.com is very SEO friendly. Meaning that its content is highly recognized and quickly indexed by search engines (like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc). If you have – or would like to bring your business presence online, then we provide superior platform for that.
2. Does it guarantee that my business customer will be going skyrocket by using your services (paid or not)?
   We don’t guarantee that (nobody can), what you get is a much better chance of it. We use and provide many (almost all) marketing and promotion methods available to bring your business in front of many eyeballs, and provide you platform to make your business known well and widely.
3. Is it OK to display my or my company’s email address in the post, directory, forum, etc?
   Basically it is secure (in term of automatic email harvesting by spammers). All section in CityShoppingPoint.com get this kind of protection BUT the forum. Don’t easily share your email address in the forum! Our suggestion is that you only provide email in the directory section ONLY. Every other email requested by our system is usually not displayed publicly. You will know otherwise. If you want to complaint about spam email that you suspect come from CityShoppingPoint.com or being practiced by our affiliate, please contact us first. We have strict policy about spam, and can provide appropriate solution if you feel become victim of such acts.

Directory FAQs

1. I don’t see my city in the directory. Why is that?
   We will put it in the directory as soon as we see there’s good interest in that city. We don’t grow at once, while there’s a huge number of cities in the world, even if you just count the major cities, so there’s possibility your city is not (yet) listed there. We will add them progressively.
2. Why won’t you add the city I requested to the directory?
   For any city not listed in our directory we look into several factors prior to add it. Like its status, population, commerciality, availability of international/English name (if its name is not written in Roman/Latin alphabet), etc.
3. For cities with the same name, how do you list them?
   For the subdomain URL linked by the directory, the first city entering our database will have its name listed directly without additional code(s). Example cityname.cityshoppingpoint.com. The next same name but located in different geographic and/or administration will be given the prefix of its state/province or country code. Example ak-cityname.cityshoppingpoint.com
   For the listing in the directory itself, we organize it under Country-State/Province-CityName hierarchy structure.
4. So, my city is not listed. What do I do then?
   You can join our affiliate program, and/or you can still send your business to our listing, and/or you can talk about it in the forum (you can even freely talk about towns, communities, neighborhoods, etc – anything considered administratively “lower” than city – in the forum), and/or you can contact us to send your enquiry. When we see enough interest about a particular city, we will add it to the system.
5. How city population affects your decission to make it listed?
   City population is only one factor we think about. The main consideration is usually the status of the city itself. If it is marked as city or municipal we will add it immediately.

Affiliate FAQs

1. How can I join the affiliate program?
   Please go to this page. Click on the Sign Up button then fill in the from as accurate and complete as possible.
2. My city is not in your directory list, can I still join the program?
   Yes, even if the city is not listed (yet) we welcome you as our partner. There always are ways to make solid income with us. You don’t even need a citizenship, and you may live anywhere under the sky to make money with us.
3. I don’t have Paypal, can I become an affiliate?
   Yes, just keep in mind that your payment will be held until you have Paypal account and let us know by put your Paypal Email Address in your affiliate account. For now we only use Paypal as payment processor.
4. How can I promote CityShoppingPoint.com as affiliate?
   We provide banners, links, and creatives with your affiliate code attached in it. You can put them in your website, email, blog, etc. You can modify them as you see fit to promote CityShoppingPoint only. You can use them with offline promotion methods, like put them in leaflets/flyers, in your name card, brochures, mugs, stickers, etc. Note, you might need URL redirection/shortener service if you use offline methods. You can use your own domain or get one freely. There are plenty of URL shortener, just Google it. Remember that you can get recurring income with us, not just one time commission (depends on the service used by customer). Be creative.
5. Can I use any methods to promote CityShoppingPoint.com?
   Yes, there’s no limit to how you promote us, BUT spamming and other methods that are considered “black hat” or illegal.
