Good menu, great selection of games that all work. The issue we had was there was no one that asked us if we were familiar with how the program worked. It was our first visit and we paid $25 for a game card only to find out later that kids get a free one hour game card with their meal! We were only going to play games for an hour anyway so this card was all we needed. Management, please fix this!
Fun place for a night out. Food, bowling, and arcade games. It's a great place for adults and children. This was my first time going and I enjoyed everything, including the atmosphere. Make sure to try the Pac Man air hockey game - super fun and competitive!
Had so much fun. It was a little confusing at first as we didnt see anyone working there but they have multiple self service kiosks to purchase or refill your cards. Prices on games range from .50 to $2. Spend about $10 per person. Fun for all ages. Classic arcade games, pinball and more. Just tap your card and play.
Awesome place to go to play those great old retro arcade and pinball machines! Not as big as other arcades, but has the nostalgia and bowling! I wouldn't eat there again though, is very expensive for what it is and menu is limited.
I took my 5 year old here for a little mom and son date. We had so much fun. Great games. Yummy food. Cool bowling. The tickets go far with decent prizes. It would be great for an adult party, too. The cocktail and wine list was extensive and there's a bar in the bowling area. In my little opinion, I think any age would have a good time there.
I'm so glad they made an arcade with more than like 10 games. This was recently updated probably around a year ago. what's really cool is that the tickets are even digital so when you win them in a game you don't have to carry them around and drop them. It goes right onto your card. It is expensive so do you expect to pay at least $10 are up for really cool arcade games. Honestly I enjoyed all of these games. Even adults were playing. Ask for food if you want to save money you can just order one or two appetizers and one or two drinks and just walk around and play video games it's so awesome so you'd probably need at least $50 or $70 to be playing and eating at this place. But it's definitely worth the quality and quantity
Honestly, we were disappointed. We have been to several of the local arcade plus food plus entertainment venues recently and this was my least favorite. It had a much smaller selection of video games to play than many other places and the prices were much higher. Also, many games were broken. The giant pac-man statue was well worth the photo op but the experience wasn't worth the price we paid. We did not eat food there, so not sure what that was like.
Fun place, not crazy expensive for food or the games. We shared the dish that's a play on rumaki, but made with steak, bacon and pineapple. It was pretty good. The weak link at this place is the service. Getting drinks from the bar took forever.
If zero stars were possible on Google Reviews, it would unequivocally be Zero. Actually looks like a nice place with a nice little restaurant area. There were 5-6 tables with people seated and 30+ tables without anyone at all. After waiting several minutes for the hostess to seat a group of 5... in one of the many open tables. We were told a table for 2 would be a 10-15 minute wait.... I thought she was joking at first. I asked for a manager, and attempted chasing down John (a floor manager) with no luck. 10-15 minutes at 5-10% capacity at 12:30PM makes a lot of sense...
Got a Ribeye steak with a much fancier name then quality. Sauce and seasoned so well, but sadly not cooked right. The tough gristle of the cut not cooked correctly ruined the steak for me. Staff was friendly. Drinks were good. I however cannot recommend a meal here, go to drink and play at the arcade instead.
We stumbled upon Level 257 on a visit to Woodfield Mall in early August 2018. I'm told an entrance to the mall was being installed the next day, but we only found it by chance, driving past its impressive outside entrance. The arcade, bowling alley, and restaurant are phenomenal! Great fun for grown-ups and kids alike!
Fun place. Good beer selection. Haven't tried the food yet. Game selection is good. They keep moving things around, and it may possibly be getting smaller as all the games are now condensed down to one side. But still a good place to have some fun.
It took me a while to discover this spot at Woodfield but when I did it's where I eat without thought now. They have a pretty good variety of food up there. I've eaten at the Blaze pizza up there n I have to say, I love it. They have chipotle, a sandwich spot like the great steak, theres a middle eastern fast food spot, n some others. I can't remember them all but if you go to Woodfield and will be eating there you should definitely check it out at the very least. I forgot to mention the seating. The seating is all the way by the wall which is all window and has a nice relaxing view outside. Or you watch the TVs if you prefer... I'll take some pics next time I stop by there.
Had a blast! Enjoyed playing some of my favorite arcade games. The atmosphere made you feel comfortable with retro and modern aspects. Can't say I will be back in the area anytime soon, but I would definitely recommend.
This restaurant is amazing!!! It has a variety of different dishes. From burgers and steaks to pasta and sushi, I personally don't know if many places offer such a variety as 257. The appetizers were delicious and our entree's were served to us rather quickly. They also have an arcade and bowling to help pack down a great meal. Our server was great and very attentive. I will definitely be going back and recommending anyone who is in the Schaumburg area to try this restaurant.😊
Love the style of the place. Fun spot to grab a drink or just hangout with friends and eat. I spent most the time at the bowling side and the software is very simple and easy to use, same goes for the balls themselves as they are labeled with their sizes. I will say the lane didn't feel well oiled at all, so I'm not sure how often they are maintained. I had to bowl straight the entire time but it was still a good time with good service.
The food is great, a very fun enjoyable atmosphere. Dinner and gaming is something myself, girlfriend, and most of my friends enjoy so this is an excellent place to do it. The reason for four stars and not a 5 is due to an excessive wait for a table for three one evening. Yes it was a Saturday and they were busy but we sat/stood around waiting to be seated at a table that was empty the entire hour and a half that we waited. I wouldn’t be as critical about it but 5 other small tables were available the entire time. Maybe they had reservations but no one got seated at any of them.
This was one of my favorite places, the food was always good and we typically received good service. Unfortunately the last couple of times we have been here the service has been terrible. We've waited for over an hour for a table, after being told it was at least a 45 minute wait to be seated. All the while there were at least 10 tables in the dining area that were empty and clean. After playing some arcade games, during our 45+ minute wait, we decided to check on the wait. We were promptly told that we were next and then watched multiple tables be seated before us.
Yesterday I was there with my special ed. students. The folks at 257 were so wonderful to us. They were very generous to the students with giving them a discounted rate. They had such a fun time! The place is so clean and the atmosphere is awesome. I hope to be going back soon. If not with my students, with friends and husband. Thank you to the staff at 257. You guys rock!!!!!
Today a group of friends and I came out for my sister's birthday. Although it was very crowded we waited patiently to be served because our experience prior had been awesome. Tonight was NOT the same. After waiting in line for 15 minutes we finally approached the counter where to our surprise we were met with silence from the 2 ladies at the front desk who had just been working with the family ahead of us! Finally, a third lady asked if we needed help and we gave her our information. Several minutes later we found that she had disappeared into the night and we waited another 10 minutes in silence from the 2 ladies at the front desk. The lady who originally asked if we needed help reappeared and got us settled into our lane. Nearing the end of our exciting game our lane SHUT down! By the time it was reset we would have had to pay for a second game which was no good because we lost all the original points from the first game we didn't get to finish. After explaining what had happened to us to our waiter he told us he could take the charge of our shoes off the bill, which was a very acceptable compromise for the type of service we had experienced. He then came back to us with our reduced bill (thank you) and explained that making the customer happy was his priority even if it was something "small" like what we had faced 😑 We didn't appreciate him making us feel like our issues that evening were "small". Those "small" issues we experienced affected how my sister enjoyed her birthday so they were "big" to us.
The appearance and variety of activities/options of this establishment was very stimulating when we choose it for our family fun filled dinner. However, last night when I arrived with my family/party of 5 we were told the wait time would be 45 minutes so we had drinks at the bar to kill some time. The bartender was great by the way.. Anyway, after waiting 45 minutes, I was told that there was no way to tell how much longer my party would have to endure this uncoordinated effort.. Needless to say we decided there was no need to suffer through this inexcusable madness anymore and went to Pf Chang's to enjoy a wonderful family dinner. I truly hope these folks can get their act together.. So very disappointed.
I came here with my boyfriend for our anniversary, and not only was the service amazing, but the food was fantastic. Even the game card prices are reasonable. The day went flawlessly. The servers really knew what they were talking about, as my boyfriend likes to ask lots of questions about the food and the establishment. Would definitely come back.
It was my son's first birthday and we were in the area. I open tabled it up and found this place. I wasn't expecting what I witnessed, but as an avid gamer I was pleasant and comfy. Great food extremely fast service though it wasn't busy... server was attentive but not invasive. The Mrs was pleased to get familiar with the layout, which is a major plus. All in all happy to have paid a visit.
Exceptionally great! Not only the arcade games are fun to, but the customer service was nice, and helpful, including machine malfunctions. This place also has bowling, which does not disappoint. The pizza was also good. This place has some retro fun in it too! I love old games.I would come again! Thank you.
Great place for family gatherings or corporate events. Upscale food and beverage than a typical game restaurant. Wine and beer list is excellent. Appetizer menu is varied. Good selection of entree other than typical burgers and sandwiches. Reasonable prices for the style
