Favorite Malaysian restaurant in Singapore. If you are traveling to Singapore, you should absolutely give it a try. They have a variety of options and the food and the environment seems pretty authentic. Not too surprising considering Singapore's really close to Malaysia.
Definitely best Malaysian in Chicago. The Assam laksa was at par with Malaysian Penang Assam laksa! I m so impressed. Being a born and bred Malaysian I could not find any nicer Malaysian than this joint!
Food is tasty overall. Very reasonable price and a wide section of food. However I wish they use jasmine rice for the hainanese chicken and the coconut rice. The rice they used was very disappointing, tasted liked boiled brown rice.
This is one of the few restaurants in the area that I can never get enough of. From the appetizers to the entree's, I find their food to be very fresh and well-made. Their roti canai, veggie curry puff's and mango tofu are a must try if you're not familiar with Malaysian cuisine. The service is pleasant, consistent and timely.
The food is fantastic, similar to what I've had back in Malaysia, but it's not exactly the same. Obviously here in the US you're not going to get exact but I'm the state of Illinois this is as close as it gets. The food portions are somewhat lacking but it makes up for in flavor.I would give it 4 stars but the service is terrible. Usually you're seated, given a menu, then given two to three minutes to decide it have questions. We were given a menu, waited almost 10 minutes until our waitress came back with water to ask us anything. By this time we were pretty hungry. We made our order and then waited even longer for the food to come out. Mind you there was only a handful of people in the restaurant at this time. Not only did the food all come out at once with the appetizers but the drinks we ordered we completely forgotten about. We had to stop our lunch half way, flag down a server, and have her ask our server, who was no where to be seen, about our drinks. This place would get 4 stars if the service was better. I would even give it 5 stars if the portions were better as well but both are lacking.
A real hidden gem!Menu consists of a fair amount of variety of Malaysian dishes all with distinct flavours.Highly recommend getting the Malaysian White coffee for those coffee lovers; my all-time favourite coffee so far!I would hate for this place to disappear, so more people should try this place out.
