I had expectations of his place and I feel they were all met. The food was amazing. He satay was so much better and more complex than most. The noodle dish was a must try. And the matcha cocktail was perfect. The service was excellent and the ambiance is very relaxed.
Sky Cafe serves homemade Indonesian food, such as Mie Komplit (Combination Egg Noodles), Bakso Campur (Combination Meatball Soup), Ayam Goreng Sambal Hijau (Spicy Chicken Rice Platter), Nasi Pecel Lele (Catfish Rice Platter), Nasi Goreng Seafood (Seafood Fried Rice), Soto Medan (Chicken Broth Coconut Soup), and many more. I tried their new menu which was Nasi Bungkus (Banana Leaf Wrapped Rice served with Beef Rendang/Fried Chicken, Cassava Leaves, Potato Cake etc.). The friendly waitress told me this new menu had been very popular since it was launched on April 2017. Apparently, she was right, it's absolutely delicious! It seemed the combination of Indonesian spices created a rich taste once it got into my mouth. The Beef Rendang had perfect tenderness and the cassava leaves created a good balance for spicy rice, potato cake, and other things in this meal. Moreover, Banana Leaf wrapper could preserve the authentic aroma and taste of Nasi Bungkus very well.I had Es Teler (Indonesian Shaved Ice) for dessert which was refreshing. The restaurant can fit around 25 persons; it's clean and homey. The average food price is between $6 to $12, totally affordable! I would definitely come back for Sky Cafe's delish food.
