I've been here twice. Once was years ago for brunch by myself and I ordered the Asian Crab Cake Benedict ( asparagus spears, poached eggs, laksa butter sauce.) it was delicious and I loved the plating/presentation of the food. Fast forward a few years and I brought my whole family here for my dad's birthday for brunch. Again the food was delicious! Although the menu had changed I was happy to see the flavors and taste of the food was still on point! The last time I came I ordered an entree with short ribs and it was AMAZING! The flavor, the tenderness of the meat, it was so good I didn't even get a picture of it I devoured it! If you want a taste of Singapore then dining at Straits Restaurant is the place to reserve a table!
First time going.....was informed that the wait would be 10 -15 minutes.....5 people came after us and was seated.....then 3 more...hostess was HORRIBLE!!!!! Did not come to say anything!!!! We left.....hope the food is good, because customer service. SUCKS!!
The server we had was not that great, but the host was ok. Anyway,The happy hour is a must; drinks and bites are really cheap. My friend told me this place is never busy, so I guess it's worth trying it.
Typical American-Asian fusion at 2.5x the price. If you are hungry, want a decent date night, I guess this is a good place to go. The food is good and warm. Definitely won't remember your meal past one day. Service was decent. Prices are too high, mainly because the area the restaurant is in.
