We did a birthday party here. They provide everything but the cake for a select number of children/skaters. You can skate on either side in the ice or roller rink. The kids had a blast, overall experience was good. The lady who does the parties was awesome. It was a little chaotic at closing time but overall we had a blast.
It's a great place to skate when there's barely anyone there, the rest of the time it's just a ton of kids going the opposite way, and when it's full there's barely any room to skate. Also, add some kind of security, someone went through my bag and stole $40 , honestly I'm disappointed.
In town visiting my Airman with my family, some of us avid skaters and other new to skating, looking for a fun family experience. All was good with the exception of the staff who did little customer service at all. They spent most of their time on their phones and were annoyed when I asked for a skate aid for my seven year old. I paid four dollars for one hat was too short for her to use because they didn’t have any other larger ones. There were only about a Dozen people at the rink. We stayed for about an hour (roller skating only). Good experience except for the young staff that did very little at all.
It's nice to have a skate and ice place nearby. They are friendly people and the prices are okay for open skate. But they are not very organized or very efficient. If they could update their webpage and scheduling and be better at communication I'd give them a higher rating. 👍
We had a great afternoon here. While the building was older it was very clean and has plenty of space. The snack bar was really reasonable on traditional skating food-pizza, hot dogs, funnel cakes and cotton candy. Staff was very busy but friendly.
My daughter had a party. Worst customer service from hostess! However the young dj's other skaters were fun. The kids were entertained. And the pizza was good. My suggestion just skating good...party no!
My name is Chris Sliter, I'm 39 now and been going to Arkansas Skatium since my teens. I've always enjoy my skating experiences there. The atmosphere is great and the employee's are friendly!! I've always enjoyed the music as well but it seems in recent years the music has been targeting one certain demographic. I hope hip hop music myself but im also a hard rock and metal fan and would love to see more variety and variations of music that also suits to others cultures of peoples
The place is ugly, dirty, bathrooms are very very dirty, the ceiling is awful and broken and lots of microfibers are flying around causing allergy. they sell 90 USD membership on Arkansas Daily Deal and then tell you that their membership is 180 USD but it is longer. However it is a lie as there is no difference between the memberships and both 90 and 180 is the same. so be aware if you want to put your health at risk and go to this nasty dirty place do buy the membership from other websites and not directly through them. their membership is as expensive as having private lessons so if you want to pay that high go for private ones.
I heard rumors about the front desk woman not being customer friendly and they were right. No smiles No greetings, no kind gestures, I understand not loving your job but don't take it out on the customers. Parking is atrocious. There were people parking in space that weren't even lines there. If you are going to have a police officer make sure isn't there holding his belt up all night. There needs to be a referee for all of the young adults who think it's cool to weave in between 2 people with only a foot of space. Music choice could be better. Other than that it appeared clean. Staff makes a difference about the face of the business.
Googled days/times, called number listed and got an automated voice telling us the days/times. Both said open Thursday 11 AM to 8 PM. Drive 2.5 hours, got to the rink at 1:00 PM, only to find that it was closed until 6:00 PM. Called and talked to a real person who was pretty unconcerned with the erroneous google listing. Disappointed kids!!
Perfect place to hang out with friends, or your GF, BF. I love there’s huge fireplace in right side. If you are good at roller skating? Go to Arkansas Skatium! Ice skating?Don’t worry. That’s little bit harder than roller one.
Very exciting energetic place. Decent music and friendly staff. Since it was QST time there, I would have liked to have some tips and instructions provided. Overall it was very fun. Loved the ability to change rinks!
Cool classic skating complex. Roller skating on one side, with traditional or inline skates, and ice skating and refreshments on the other side! Daughter has been to several birthday parties here, and everybody always had a great time. They even have little training "walkers" for new skaters, which was really neat.
Tried the public skate on a Friday afternoon and quite enjoyed it. Ice is in good condition, facilities are clean, the cashier is friendly. Would go back for sure. The door to the ice arena is the white double doors under the red awning on the same side as the Ice Arena sign. The other double glass doors under the other red awning must be to the roller skating arena.
I grew up roller skating at a place like this in New Jersey. The Skatium, for all the fun my kids have, just feels dated and run-down. You have the feeling it could be so much more if a little time/effort/money was put into it. The skating rink floor needs a good sanding; some areas will give you a bumpy ride. We've been here a few times for parties and open skating, and the kids always want to come back.
