I took my cat of 15 years old here in 2013 she wasn't eating so we were very worried. Dr. Gill was wonderful she explained each step of the procedure and what was going on and she didn't move forward with anything without consulting us. Unfortunately our cat died a week later so that was the only time we got to work with her. However I will never forget that wonderful experience and that is why with my new cat and kitten I know she will continue to be our Veterinarian.***Update*** We have gotten two new cats and we still go see Dr. G. My sisters husband also takes his cat there and we love her and trust her so much. We live in Rogers Park but we make the drive because she is just so awesome!
Amazing place so happy I made the switch from Hyde Park. I really loved the friendly enviornment, staff and the vet!! I will definitely be returning and my big girl can meet the new sweet staff that will be taking care of her! Asher said that's for being so nice for her first vaccination! Thanks again for everything Bronzeville vet..my girls and I are very grateful for our new home!
Very unprofessional clinic. DO NOT take your pet there. Many have died due to this poor service! I took my puppy of 4 months there because of something she ate and was vomiting. They charged me $260. During the time of this emergency, I signed up for Pet Assure which discounts at 25%. The representative at Pet Assure directed me to Bronzeville Animal Clinic as it was the closest location. During my visit last Thursday, they gave me a print out listing everything that they were going to give the dog, then as time went on (I was there for over 3 hours), they kept printing new receipts adding on to the price. I do not believe this is fair.I called them yesterday at 3:24 pm asking them about the pricing of Spay Surgery as well as the second set of shots. I also asked them if the Pet Assure discount (25%) would apply and the receptionist went to the back to confirm with the Doctor that they do accept Pet Assure. Later on yesterday, I went on Pet Assure's website and noticed they changed themselves as a "non-participating veterinarian."I believe this is very unprofessional and that they are a money-hungry clinic. Also, there are no other participating clinics with Pet Assure near where I live so this is an inconvenience for me. I am very dissatisfied with this clinic and I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Came in for my kitten's first shots and to check for mites/fleas. Eventhough I was running late and made it there close to closing time the entire staff was very gracious and kind. They took their time taking care of my pet and answered all of my questions.
This animal clinic doesn't deserve a star! My 4 year old golden retriever died on 8/13/18 at Premier animal hospital . I don't understand how Premier could tell me within minutes of taking a biopsy and xrays that my dog has cancer in his shoulder that spread to his lungs and stomach !Bronzeville took xrays and a biopsy and sent it to Antech their testing lab and 2 weeks later they told me oh its just bacteria and blood! The way I see this is NEGLECT by Bronzeville and the testing lab they use. The only thing Bronzeville did was to take my money and my dog!!!
Such an insulting experience to go there. I would sue them if I could, they were very unprofessional and irresponsible. Gave my cat an extra exam which is no required according to consultant last time, charged 50 dollars, and told me my 4-month kitten is 9 pounds! Did they really use their head? Then gave my cat two same shots on the same day at same time, and charge me twice. When I confront with them, they said it's system error. Even if it is, did the vet even think before she did it? How stupid people are in there? My kitten is still suffering from those shots right now. I would never ever go there again and spread this out as I can, If you value your little friends as I do, I recommend you to do the same!
Really unprofessional. Gave my kitten a shot which he doesn’t need without my permission and telling me it’s system error. I don’t know what could happen on my baby. I will never go to this clinic again. The price is not good as well. The exam fee is more expansive than banfield.
if i could give this place ZERO stars i would. lets start off with how incompetent the staff is. we have brought our dog in numerous times for check ups and shots, they then call us weeks later stating he needs the same shots etc. i have argued with them numerous times for not taking proper notes or documenting our pets records... just a few weeks ago we spent nearly 4 hours with our two pets.. just for them to deny his meds because he didnt get his heart warm done---- WHICH HE DID.... they just forgot to document and charge us.... again... very unprofessional... our dog has gotten the same meds TWICE due to their negligence...Dont get me wrong, Dr. Gil is a sweetheart and very friendly... but not enough for us to put our dogs in danger for negligence in behave of the staff.
#Go to Bronzville Animal Clinic Get Punked like Ashton Kushey# I took my new poodle (Ruffles) in to get a rabies shot and told them that he had his first shots 4 months prior from the previous owner. Tina the receptionist was nice but Dr Gill gave him his first shots all over again and no rabies. I left thinking that he had the rabies shot in Aug 2017. I took him to petco for grooming and found that he didnt. I took him back in Dec 2017 for the rabies shot and expressed to Tina I only wanted the rabies shot and my husband would bring him in. I asked for the cost before he took him there. To my surprise they gave him the three shots again and the rabies shot after my husband and I told them wr only wanted the rabies shot. Tina gave me a bill 4 times the price that I confirmed over the phone, and tried to convince me that it was my mistake??? She then said ok just pay for the rabies. My husband paid and asked for a receipt and copy of the shot record. Dr Gill said no problem she would not charge for the three shots and gave him an outstanding bill due for the 3 shots???. These people are not honest, and if you enjoy frustration and the "Moe, Larry and Curly run around" by all means you will be entertained. They seriously lack integrity and professionalism. I drove back to the office to remedy the bill. The receptionist lied and said Tina went home and she (Tina) later came out with a scarf wrapped over her head to cover her face. Dr Gill insulted me as if I didnt have the money to pay, and that she cares about my dog more than me?? Really.. She said "oh all you care about is grooming". I told her I wanted nothing more than the rabies shot and this is about the principle. Then she told me the for the 2nd time that they would take off the cost of the 3 other shots. The spanish speaking receptionist asked me to wait for the rabies tag and then said there was a computer glitch she could not take off the other shots??. And when she went in the back to look for Dr. Gill to help with the computer my husband (outside in the car) saw her leaving out of their 2nd door?? .I never got the rabies tag because they refuse to give it to me after I paid for the shot.. And at that time another receptionist came out to tell me Dr Gill went home..Wow...I thought that I was being punked on the Tv show. I wanted to keep my Christianity and sanity therefore I left.
The vet and her staff are very knowledgeable and compassionate. I have been able to find an appointment when I needed to bring in my bird or cat every time. I highly recommend supporting this local business.
This place is seriously awesome. Great affordable price for when my dog got hurt and had to go under some surgery. Easy to schedule appointments and even reschedule them. Staff is so nice and caring for the animals too.Edit: The only issue I have with the facility is the price range. It's not high (at least I don't think so), but it would be nice if there was a form to let pet owners know the costs. I pay for my dog by myself and I would like to know how much I need to have ready each time I visit with my pooch.
I took my Choc. Lab several years ago to Dr. Gill, Samantha had bone cancer, Dr.Gill walked me through the stages , she explained all the options, Samantha's cancer was in her leg, and I did not feel she would make it with 3 legs. Dr Gill explained everything and I decided chemo and radiation . It helped prolong her life for a while, when it came time for Samantha to go, my family was there with her and Dr. Gill helped make a her transition as easy for us and Samantha. I have her brother and he was sick and Dr. Gill was not sure what was going on, but she did blood work and she informed me levels were high but not excessive. She knows my dog, and treats him like a rock star.I am glad to have her near,. I would recommend her highly.
After reading so many bad reviews I was extremely hesitant but decided to think for my ferret and not myself and I'm so glad I did. Rachel at the front desk was perfect and so professional. Dr. Paula completely exceeded my expectations. (THANK YOU BOTH!) My ferret (Yang) is doing so much better, I'd recommend this hospital 1000 times!!
I love this vet, today I had to take my guinea pig in last minute and the staff was super friendly and super patient with us and they didn't do anything before consulting us and they even gave us many good options on what to do. My guinr pig had to stay over night and I'm certain they will take care of him well
If I could give this place no stars, honestly I would. The staff is VERY unprofessional and have bad attitudes (Especially Britney). Dr. Gill practically convinced us for our dog to have surgery and she died a week later. I took her to the vet 3 days in a row, her staff gave me 3 different prices after complications post surgery. She honestly couldn't even read my dog's x-rays properly. Two days before my dog died, I brought her to the vet because my dog was panting and breathing rapidly - they drugged her up and said it was due to pain and it should stop within an hour. The breathing eventually never stopped so I opted for MedVet, to only find out my dog probably had kidney or liver failure DUE to the surgery, or her cancer had spread for not taking all of it out so I honestly believed she knew she would die, she wanted the money. To have the audacity of requiring us to pay for a surgery that killed my dog is ridiculous and I will NEVER advise anyone to EVER go here, trust me.
